Welcome to
Teen Service Week

Founded on four pillars, Community, Prayer, Service, and Simple Living, Teen Service Week is a transformative faith-based volunteer experience for Chicagoland high school students.

TSW is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering justice and equity in our home city of Chicago.

TSW gathers and organizes Chicagoland high school students to volunteer during an annual, faith-based service retreat. Held during the summer in Chicago, Teen Service Week participants work with local organizations to provide much-needed extra hands in a variety of service organizations. This immersive experience includes volunteering, time for reflection and prayer, and community building.

Led by professional ministers from parishes, Catholic high schools, and other dedicated adults, TSW has been making a difference for over 35 years.

Who can volunteer?

All teenagers, regardless of religious affiliation, who are between the ages of 15 and 18 or who have completed their first year of high school through those recently graduated are invited to participate.

Are there any costs?

TSW 2024 will be in person, pending any public health changes. The fee is $200 per person, solely used to cover costs. All meals and housing are included in the fee. As a non-profit, the goal is to encourage participation, not a focus on funds. Teen Service Week is made possible by donations from participants' families and additional supportive parties. If a participant is unable to meet the recommended amount for the event, scholarships are available. We value participation over funds, always.

“The community aspect is such an integral part as it connects all of us.”
